Biography
Jonne "Jokke" Saarinen is a Finnish musician born in Kempele specializing in tracker software since 1991. He has since then made songs for over 8 games in varying gamehouses. In Christmas of 1988, Jokke received an Amiga 500 home-computer and found tracker softwares on BBS Land BBS. At first, it started out as usual; joke songs, offbeat, things of that nature. But then, after finding the mod "Time World" by Pyratronik on BBS Land, Jokke's ideas sparked. Then, the gamehouses were reaching to Jokke. Or quite the contrary.
To this day, Jokke has experimented with many styles, consoles, and computers. In 1996, Jokke bought an Akai S1000 digital sampler with an Atari ST home machine. He found the "Dr T's recording studio" diskette from a friend at school "Kempeleen lukio" secondary school. At the time, he had a music friend known as DMS (Jesse Ovaskainen) which also specialized in tracker music. They both had the idea of hooking up the Akai to the Amiga with Octamed software. They rendered the samples, had extensive sampling sessions and later on moved on to FastTracker on the IBM computer. They made around 2 demo-tapes filled with eurodance/goa trance but never got to sending them around. Those tapes remain rotting in Jokke's attic.
